SNC-8 (2015)

RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF SELF-DEFENSE

We, the Delegates of the Southern States, in Congress assembled, make the following Findings and Affirmations:

It is the inalienable right and responsibility of the People to provide for their self-defense and the protection of their families and property.  The Holy Scriptures as well as ancient common law attest readily to this, and our forefathers further recognized and protected in the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution and in various State Constitutions.

The Federal Government—through openly anti-Constitutional measures, semantic trickery, and numerous bureaucratic regulations and entrapments—has sought to limit the People’s right to defend themselves.  It has placed arbitrary and frivolous limitations on when, where, how and even if one may defend his life and property.  Further, it has sought to vacate the People’s ability to substantively and effectively confront, combat, and defeat the tyrannical and despotic forces presently arrayed against them.

Through various taxes, fees, permits, checks and registration lists, the Federal Government has all but openly declared that the keeping and bearing of arms is no longer an inalienable right given by God but rather a privilege granted by the state.

Free people do not ask permission to keep and bear arms.  Further, a government truly of, by, and for the People should have no reason to fear a population thus equipped.

The right of the people to petition the Government for redress of grievances has been recognized since the signing of Magna Carta.

Therefore, we, the Delegates of the Eighth Southern National Congress remonstrate against restrictions on and regulation of the right to keep and bear arms and:

  • Petition the legislatures of the Fourteen Southern States to immediately repeal all legislation which in any manner infringes upon the People’s right to keep and bear arms.  This includes any legislation which attempts to classify, restrict or limit certain types of arms, firing mechanisms, calibers, ammunition, or other cosmetic or functional characteristics.
  • Petition the Executives of the Fourteen Southern States to immediately nullify any Executive Orders or similar declarations which may in any manner infringe upon the people’s right to keep and bear arms.

Adopted 14 November 2015 @ SNC-8 Dickson, Tennessee.

PETITION FOR LEGISLATIVE AND EXECUTIVE ACTION
DEFENSE OF MARRIAGE

We, the delegates of the Southern States, in Congress assembled, make the following petition to the Legislative and Executive officials of our States and demand:

That the officials of our several States seize and exercise the authority granted them by the People to resist the Obergefell v. Hodges decision on same-sex marriage as an unwarrantable violation of centuries of practice under Biblical and English Common Law by:

  • Denying the Obergefell v. Hodges decision of the Supreme Court of the United States as valid under Law within our States.
  • Denying that the Supreme Court of the United States has any legislative power.
  • Affirming our prevalent State laws and Constitutional provisions regarding marriage.

Adopted 14 November 2015 @ SNC-8, Dickson, Tennessee.

PETITION OF SUPPORT
FOR SOUTHERN AND CHRISTIAN HERITAGE

We, the delegates of the Southern States, in Congress assembled, make the following petition to the Legislative and Executive officials of our States and demand:

All symbols of Southern Heritage and Christianity belong to the people and families of their respective States and as such must not be politically exploited.

Any removal from public land of Southern Heritage or Christian symbols such as statues, name designations on buildings or streets, monuments, or flags shall first be approved by the voting citizens of the State in which the items are located.

The Southern National Congress also supports the issuance of specialty license plates for the SCV and other organizations which desire such plates portraying Southern Heritage symbols.

Adopted 14 November 2015 @ SNC-8 Dickson, Tennessee.

RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR CATALONIA

Whereas the Southern National Congress exists to encourage and lead the Southern People to a separate and independent national existence from the United States of America; and

Whereas the Southern National Congress also supports similar efforts by any historic, organic peoples anywhere in the world, in the hope of spreading liberty and self-government to all men and nations;

Be it resolved by the delegates of the Southern States in Congress assembled that we applaud and celebrate the vote of the people of Catalonia to separate themselves from the Spanish realm; and

We wish them Godspeed, and hope to one day join them as a member of the Community of nations.

Adopted 14 November 2015 @ SNC-8 at Dickson, Tennessee.

RESOLUTION OF OPPOSITION TO ISLAM

Whereas, historically, all of Western Christendom has recognized Islam as an evil and barbarous threat to its peace and security and the salvation of souls; and

Whereas Western Christendom has historically never made the foolish mistake of trying to designate portions of Islam as “radical” or “peaceful,” but has by long, bloody experience known it to only be the former; and

Whereas this barbaric system is at present invading and wreaking havoc across Western Europe and is finding sympathy any support from the government of the United States for bringing its Jihad to our lands;

Be it resolved by the delegates of the Southern States in Congress assembled that all elected and appointed officials of the Fourteen Southern States should do all that is within their power to prevent the further immigration of Muslims into our States and work towards the expulsion of all Muslims already residing here.

Adopted 14 November 2015 @ SNC-8 at Dickson, Tennessee.
